World Cup Round in Nove Mesto was two times in a row announced to be the best WC venue of the whole series. This year the organizers want to reach a successfull hattrick. "It is a great commitment and also a big motivation, we will do our best to achieve it," said the General Secretary of the Nove Mesto World Cup, Mr. Petr Vaněk. He also revealed, that his team has joint with the team of Mr. Jiří Hamza, the head organizer of this year's successfull Biathlon World Championship in February.

After this year's successful Biathlon World Championship, also the MTB World Championship should head to Nove Mesto quite soon. Czech Republic will compete for the organization of the championship in 2017 or 2018. Precursor of such top event are the World Cup races year after year. This year, it will take place in less than a month from 24 to 26 May.

Although the winter kept resisting way longer than is usual, season of mountain bike races has already started and now is fully underway.
