Top cycling and a weekend full of fun

Evening concerts, activities for children or other entertainment, the World Cup race certainly won’t lack a rich and fun program. Once again the World Cup will host many popular bands and singers – for example the well known Czech band Toxique, U2 Desire or DJ Tom Holic. Thanks to last years success also this year the visitors will be able to enjoy the attractive Race number ceremony, Merida Bike Vysocina marathon or the Trials Czech Cup finals full of adrenaline. 

The program will start off on Friday in the Vysocina Arena with the summer movie session selection from the Outdoor Film Festival 2011. All cycling fans can get a good workout and register in the Saturday Merida Bike Vysocina marathon, either in the 40 km or the 80 km distance long race and later in the evening relax watching the Czech Cup Trial finals while listening to the series of planned concerts. 

This year the concerts and the Race number ceremony will take place directly at the Nove Mesto town main square, the program will be started off on Saturday at 5 PM. “I must say, that the Race Number ceremony last year was fantastic, I din’t expect so many people there last year. Everyone was cheering on, it was certainly a great motivation for the race. I hope it’ll be as good this year,” said Jaroslav Kulhavy. 

Last year Jaroslav Kulhavy started with the excellent number one, this year he will receive start number seven at the ceremony. “Number one is number one, but seven also isn’t bad. I hope it’ll bring me good luck,” wishes last year’s World Cup winner and the holder of World Champion title. The Race Number ceremony was inspired by the program in the biathlon races. No other MTB World Cup organizes this ceremony, it is certainly a unique part of the program. The ceremony for the top ten riders will take place on Saturday May 12^th at the Nove Mesto na Morave town square. 

The entire weekend will also be full of activities for children. A magic show will start off on Saturday, children will be able to make models out of baloons, have their face painted or get a kid tattoo. On Sunday even the smallest ones can register in the children’s race, which will start at 1:30 PM. Children can register directly in the Vysocina Arena in the children’s section, where you can also find a jumping castle and much more!
