Vsadil se totiž s Petrem Koublem, manažerem značky Birell, která je partnerem akce, o to, kolik závodníků z ČR skončí do 10. místa. Pokud jich bude méně než 6, vyrazí Ján Svorada točit Birell do vybrané hospůdky u cyklostezky. V opačném případě čeká Petra Koubleho práce na přípravě trati pro další závod Světového poháru v příštím roce.

695 athletes from 43 countries are registered for the second World Cup Round in Nove Mesto na Morave. The Czech Republic as an organizing country doesn't have the highest competitors attendance; with 59 bikers is second behind Switzerland with 89 cyclists. Germany is third with amount of 55 cyclists on the start line. Macedonia, Georgia, South Korea and Venezuela are the countries which will perform with one and only athlete.

MTB World Cup, which takes place between 24.-26. 5. in Nove Mesto na Morave, will also offer an event for general public - Birell Bike Vysocina marathon. Four cyclists will have a chance to enjoy a significant support - they will stand on the start line with support of professional MTB team. This unique experience is prepared in the fan-contest on the website www.jezdimenakole.cz.

Top ten in the World Cup - that is the goal for Czech Tereza Hurikova after a great winter training period. Twenty-six years old athlete had a bad season last year, but in the end she managed to achieve a good result by finishing 7th at the World Champs in Saalfelden. But in the overall standing of the World Cup she finished 30th anyway. During her preparation she decided for a few changes - didn't go for a training camp to Cyprus and aslo chaned her training habits a bit. Starting this year she also became a new collegue of the Olympic champion Jaroslav Kulhavy in Specialized Racing.

World Cup Round in Nove Mesto was two times in a row announced to be the best WC venue of the whole series. This year the organizers want to reach a successfull hattrick. "It is a great commitment and also a big motivation, we will do our best to achieve it," said the General Secretary of the Nove Mesto World Cup, Mr. Petr Vaněk. He also revealed, that his team has joint with the team of Mr. Jiří Hamza, the head organizer of this year's successfull Biathlon World Championship in February.
